The monthly meeting of the Benton County Republican Party.
The Executive Committee has decided that the BCRP Central Committee meeting on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 7 pm at Island View will be a Closed Session with only Precinct Committee Officers (PCOs) representing Benton County election precincts to be admitted. Our focus is to allow an optimal candidate review: fair to the Sheriff appointee candidates as well as allowing PCO’s time without interruptions for questions and candidate answers. Our duty is to send three vetted Sheriff candidates to the Benton County Commissioners for their consideration in appointing a new Benton County Sheriff.
PCOs and approved proxies will sign in and receive their name tags as usual. The purpose of this message is to notify Precinct Captains and Guests that they should not attend and will not be admitted. If Captains and Guests do not get this message and show up on Sept. 2, the situation will be explained but they will not be admitted.
The BCRP Executive Committee encourages Precinct Captains, Republican Volunteers and PCOs to regularly meet at their respective Precinct Group Meetings to continue the good fight in supporting our BCRP Endorsed candidates for School Board and City Council positions. We must double up our efforts for these candidates. We will all meet again in Open Session at the scheduled Thursday, October 7th meeting at IVWC.
