Charlie’s Legacy – Forever Forward

Thank you to those in our community who stepped forward and attended the prayer vigil held last Saturday night in memory and honor of Charlie Kirk following his assassination September 10th. Several hundred people – young and old – turned out for the local event planned by Hayley Hoyt, the Benton County Republican Party. Joe Cotta, a local pastor, led the vigil and encouraged the conservative group to step out and be active in the community.

We the people are the ones who must keep the dream of our Republic alive by sharing about our Constitutional rights, our freedoms – and by caring about one another and keeping a civil dialogue. We, too must engage in action to keep our conservative values and God-given rights ever present. What does this look like? It first of all involves praying for God’s continued blessing on this great nation – for his wisdom and direction. Voting your values is essential, as a decision to not vote is a vote for the other side. Keeping our Nation strong and on the continued path of freedom also involves engaging in an activity for which you are called and gifted.

As Charlie said, “I ask myself, ‘not what is God going to do for me, but what can I do for Him?’” So, what’s your answer? How are you using your gifts to glorify Him?
