A New Sheriff in Town

After a closed session on November 18th, the BCRP Central Committee provided three names to the Benton County Commissioner for consideration for the new Sheriff. Brad Klippert, Mike Clark, and Jeremy Carrigan were selected as the three candidates for the position. On November 20th, the Benton County Commissioners voted and selected the interim Sheriff, Mike Clark, to be the Sheriff. Congratulations, Sheriff Clark.

With over 22 years of service, Clark takes over leadership of the Benton County Sheriff’s office. He has served in various roles, including as interim (Acting) Sheriff, Lieutenant, Sergeant, among others, and has a distinguished record on the Tri-City Regional SWAT Team. The position will be up for election again in November 2026.
