About Us
Benton County
We, the Benton County Republican Party (BCRP), are here to serve and represent “WE THE PEOPLE” of Benton County Washington.
Our county resides in the 4th Congressional District of the State of Washington. Stretching from the Vernita Bridge to Finley, to Patterson and East Yakima, Benton County covers four Legislative Districts – 8, 14, 15, and 16.
BCRP Legislative District Chairs, members of the Executive Council, provide training and assistance to PCOs who in turn support and inform our communities. Check the Legislative District Finder to determine what LD you are in by inserting your address. The Benton County GIS map system will help you find your precinct.

The Central Committee
The BCRP is made up of the Central Committee (CC) and the Executive Committee. Central Committee membership consists of elected and appointed Precinct Committee Officers (PCOs). The PCOs are the voting members of the Party. The Central Committee promotes the values of the BCRP platform into every area of government and plan, organize, administer, and finance BCRP activities. Our goals are to attract more voters and volunteers into the Party and recruit good candidates for election to public office.
The Legislative District Chairs come alongside the PCO’s and are the leaders for their districts, helping recruit and train new PCOs. The LDs also plan activities within their districts to engage the community and highlight existing legislators and candidates running for office. See PCO Information – How to Become a PCO.
The Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is the governing body elected by the Central Committee for the purposes of achieving the objectives of the CC. It provides guidance and oversight on Republican Party activities within Benton County. The Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Legislative District Chairs, and State Committeeman and Committeewoman are elected in the Organization meeting held in December in even years. The Secretary and Treasurer are elected in odd years. In addition, the Chairman, State Committeeman, and State Committeewoman also serve as delegates to the Washington State Republican Party State Committee.
Pursuant to RCW 29A.80.030, the Benton County Republican Party serves as the official body of the Republican Party in Benton County, Washington.
Standing and Adhoc Committees
In addition to the Central and Executive Committees, the BCRP has Standing and Ad Hoc Committees. Standing Committees are those that are essential to the functioning of the BCRP and provide services to the CC on an ongoing basis. See list below.
Ad Hoc Committees are formed when there is an interim need for a committee to help implement a given task or activity. These committees are created approved and report to the organization level that formed them and are dissolved after the completion of the task. Examples include the Veterans Day Parade and Fireworks for Freedom.
